V. The Lonely One; If one is born a monster, must one always remain a monster? We meet Lorasta and learn that Asmodeus is not just making empty promises.
VI. Revolution of Assumptions; Declan Farran loves birds, he loves them so much because he has 'gotten under the feathers' as it were. He almost dies when Julian pays him an unexpected visit.
Part III: Crossroads
"One road leads to shadows and death, the other onto fire and death.." hardly a great choice, I know but does death really have to be permanent?
VII. Twins; They have been eight years old for at least one-hundred and fifty years. Julian is terrified when he meets them once he realises that his species are not he scariest things on the planet, not even close as it turns out.
VIII. Wolf Pack; Julian must learn what being Leader of the Pack is all about, no motorcycles involved. Lorasta gives everyone a massive surprise and Julian loses $50 even though he is sure he won.
IX. Praying for Prey; what if every conspiracy theory, evenything some government somewhere is supposedly covering up is not the crazed delusions of suspect basement-dwellers? Well, OK they are but not in the way you might think.
Prelude X: The Asmodean Gambit
Just what is Asmodeus doing and what does he hope to achieve. What does The Stranger want and who is he, now that we're on that topic?
