The equipment that keeps the aquarium running, the water clean and good for the residents - both flora and fauna - to live happily in. It takes a team to make the ecosystem truly flourish; both machines and additives.

The experienced among you might notice that not all of my kit is expensive and it doesn't really need to be. Fluval, Eheim, Chirhiros, TwinStar etc make some darn nice kit and its very tempting to shell out some serious cash for some fancy kit but do you really need it?

I didn't need all of it and have ended up keeping some of it for spares.
