I have always felt that no world or universe is complete without a few visual representations of both it and the people that populate it. I have always used art, at varying levels of skill, as a way to help me see and write more descriptively about characters. It is funny how often serendipitous little accidents in that creative process have served to assist the actual storytelling part.

In fact, I suppose, the visual side of the creative process is just a different form of storytelling. I am sure creators of the graphic novel format will agree with and have strong opinions on that..
