That which became IBIS began life as a frustration of sorts. Eight months ago, I made a huge change, deciding office life was no longer for me; I would work from home instead and, after a lot of trial and error, settled on pursuing a career that I have deeply passionate about for more than 20 years; English Teaching.
I began small, as we all do, and then my success, which came suddenly and quite unexpectedly, somewhat overtook me.
I went from 6 students to 20 in just over a week.
Lesson planning and student management, previously a simple task of ‘right before the lesson’, became a more serious and challenging matter. As my student base grew, so did the time needed to prepare my lessons.
So IBIS, still securely in its egg, began to grow.
I needed to be intelligent, I needed to build, and I needed something interaction to manage my growing number of students. I tried to locatate pre-made system, I used spreadsheets, I used paper and pencil. I needed better.
Intelligently. Building. Interactive. Study. IBIS; it took a great deal of work and effort but my weekly lesson prep time went down from 4-5 hours to just one, single hour and my students are happier too!
