We imagine and we conceptualise but what are these things without truly seeing?

I think that the art I create for my writing is nearly as important – if not even more so – as the writing itself. Good writing immerses the reader, good art does the same but in a wholly different way. You hear about someone and you can imagine them but if you are shown an image, then you really SEE them for who and what they are. True art possesses a power even words struggle to hold at times, art hits places words might often not reach.

I aim for as realisitic a style as I can and adore adding intricate and often significant details to my designs and characters. My work, though hoping to attain that realism I mentioned, is also quite stylised as I also want to represent key characteristics of my fictional beings in their portraits too, to show them as they truly are. So I leave small imperfections intentionally for what they show about the character or thing I am trying to represent.

Perfection exists no more in life than it belongs in art.
